No wonder the CEBU CITY MAYOR RAMA was able to gain adherents from, say, the mountain barangays where his infrastructure projects are visible and in Cebu City. No wonder, too, that the mayor, who looked lonely after he bolted from the BOPK early in his term, has looked formidable as a candidate because of the perception that he was able to deliver the services that his predecessor, Osmeña, failed to attend to because of his obsession with the South Road Properties. Rama repaved numerous roads, got Osmena Blvd walkways all widened and recemented, and built numerous parks which the city desparately needs.

Tomas Osmena’s insulting words

The congressman's remark is insulting to the governor. If he does not like Gwen for whatever reason or won’t support the governor's political plan, then he could just have said so rather than compare her to her horse. That was an ungentlemanly act coming from a member of Congress.
How would he feel if somebody says something negative about his wife, Councilor Margot Osmeña, or his sisters Minnie and Georgia? Okay, never mind Georgia because they are not in good terms. What if his political opponent says, “I would rather vote for my dog than vote for Margot”?
Osmeña is ill-mannered not only as a politician but as a person. He insults and throws invectives at anybody who crosses his path. Osmeña should be reminded of the verse in the Bible: “Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.”  Read the original article herehttp://www.sunstar.com.ph/cebu/opinion/2012/05/02/nalzaro-tomas-s-insulting-words-219239
