The congressman's remark is insulting to the governor. If he does not
like Gwen for whatever reason or won’t support the governor's political plan,
then he could just have said so rather than compare her to her horse. That was
an ungentlemanly act coming from a member of Congress.
How would he feel if somebody says something negative about his wife, Councilor Margot Osmeña, or his sisters Minnie and Georgia? Okay, never mind Georgia because they are not in good terms. What if his political opponent says, “I would rather vote for my dog than vote for Margot”?
Osmeña is ill-mannered not only as a politician but as a person. He insults and throws invectives at anybody who crosses his path.
